Sam Smith 英國的創作歌手，2013年12月獲2014年全英音樂獎樂評人選擇獎和英國廣播公司的2014年度新聲獎。

Lay Me Down 2014發行的歌曲，雖然成績不是很好也沒有正式MV，2015在詞曲演唱上做了小改變並釋出新版MV，新專輯發表的當天他說：

This song holds a very dear place in my heart. With this video myself and Ryan Hope the director have decided to make a statement and showcase something we passionately believe in. This video shows my dreams that one day gay men and women and transgendered men and women all over the world, like all our straight families and friends, will be able to get married under any roof, in any city, in any town, in any village, in any country. 聽到這樣的歌看到這樣的MV，真的是很讓人感動，這讓我想到了溫哥華夏日的同志大遊行。參加遊行時不住的感慨，好男人都變成GAY啊~當然我身邊的男人也都是好男人，因為我是好女人來著! 哈哈

最近覺得自己生活很嚴謹又嚴肅，算一算回來九個月了，有一夜長大的感覺。這天就突然想起自己以前其實很愛搞笑、耍白目的。然後，我也就忍不住的學著小王子對自己說：大人們真的好奇怪啊！原來，我也變成大人了！

那天我問著我母親：如果，哪天我嫁到國外去了，你會不會來參加我的婚禮？

我母親說：她不要。我問她為什麼？她回答著機票太貴，誰要幫我出機票錢。聽到差點沒昏到，我笑著跟她說我阿當然是我，我會包吃包住。

接著我又問：我生小孩了，你會來幫我照顧孩子嗎？她又說她不要，語言不通。我回著她：你一定要來幫我啊！外國人又不會坐月子。說完後我倆幻想著畫面，哈哈大笑了！

還記得我當初哭著跟她說：都是她害我變成這樣子的。她說她為了我，我說我為了她。但因為我們一直溝通，雖然過程中難免爭吵，卻也因為這樣更互相了解和支持體諒，與我相處了三十多年的人都不能互相了解了，更何況是關係。
